I was arrested February 25th, 2021 for my involvement on J6. Was denied bond on my first attempt, by finally granted a bond in late April of the same year. I was placed on the High Intensity Supervision Program (HISP) and remained under if for 10.5 months until I was re-arrested on March 10th, 2022 for having contact with my wife at the time whom I didn't realize had been acting as a witness/informant to the FBI.
I was subsequently hauled to 5 different local/regional jails and 4 federal prisons. Along my diesal therapy and con-air journey, was placed in solitary for a combined total of roughly 75 days. Just like most J6ers, I was never able to see my family or my child. The BOP/DOJ ensured that was not feasible by keeping me far away from my home. My biggest charge was the 1512 § C (2). That's what I was held in pre-trial detention for and why my conditions were set so ridiculously strict. I was able to join the Fischer briefing at SCOTUS to lend my unique set of circumstances to the argument. Once their decision came down my only felony was gone. Sadly, 6 or so weeks later, I was issued a superseding indictment for interfering with a police officer, of which I was also NOT guilty of. Unfortunately, due to lack of funds and overwhelming exhaustion from the process until that point, I gave in and pleaded to that lesser felony. Thankfully, I was never actually convicted of the felony because my sentencing was scheduled for February 20th, 2025 and we were pardoned prior to the conviction ever being recorded. My case was dismissed with prejudice on January 22nd, 2025.
I spent a little over 10 months in jail/prison the second time I was arrested. I was finally granted a second bond and released from Lewisburg USP on Friday, January 13th 2023. My conditions were even more strict than before. I couldn't access the internet, call friends, leave my home for anything other than an emergency, or even get a job. After 120 days of my mother having to provide everything for me, I was given permission to get a job. I was fortunate to be hired just 2 days later and I'm currently still employed with the same employer 2 years later as a transportation supervisor for a large distribution center. I'm blessed to have a job, blessed to have a mother who sacrificed everything to help me and make sure I had everything I needed thru this process.
